Sevdan Bir Ateş opens with two journeys that are about to collide. Mirza leaves his wedding preparations to search for his kidnapped infant nephew, Kerem. In Aleppo, he finds Leyla, the fiancée who disappeared seven years earlier, and Hüma, the six-year-old daughter he does not know exists. Their encounter turns a search for a missing child into a reunion shaped by captivity, fear and an unfinished past.
This guide covers the first episode’s confirmed story, the principal cast and the original broadcast information. For the next chapter, continue with our Sevdan Bir Ateş Episode 2 guide, or browse the latest Turkish123 episode listings.
What happens in Sevdan Bir Ateş Episode 1?
Mirza travels to Aleppo to find Kerem
Mirza is only days away from his planned wedding when he learns that his nephew Kerem has been taken. He travels to Aleppo to search for the child. His investigation brings him to Nasim’s shop, where the past he thought was closed comes back into view: Leyla, his missing fiancée, has been living under Nasim’s control.
Mirza does not yet understand the full story. He is focused on finding Kerem and has no idea that Leyla has a daughter, Hüma, or what happened to Leyla during the seven years they were apart. The episode builds tension from that difference in what each character knows.
Leyla plans an escape with Hüma
Leyla cannot safely tell Mirza that she is being held captive. She has spent years trying to protect Hüma, and reaching safety means making decisions without knowing whether Mirza will believe her. When a chance to escape appears, Leyla acts quickly. The official episode recap says she uses sleeping medicine to incapacitate Nasim and his mother, then leaves with Kerem and Hüma.
The escape brings the characters toward a train station. For Mirza, the meeting is part of his effort to recover Kerem. For Leyla, it may be the only chance to get herself and Hüma out of danger. The two objectives converge before Mirza has learned why Leyla vanished.
The train-station reunion changes everything
At the station, Leyla must weigh escape against leaving Hüma behind. She cannot abandon her daughter. As the train pulls away, she steps off, and she and Mirza finally come face to face after seven years.
The reunion provides Episode 1’s emotional climax, but not its answers. Mirza still needs to understand Leyla’s captivity and Hüma’s place in his life. Leyla has to decide how much of the truth she can reveal while keeping her daughter safe. Those unresolved questions set up the journey in Episode 2.
Show TV’s official Episode 1 page gives the broadcaster’s synopsis. Its first-episode recap confirms that Leyla leaves with Kerem and Hüma and that the story ends with her and Mirza facing each other again.
